The point of contention here is-
DOES BEING HAPPY MERELY MEANS SPENDING TIME WITH YOUR FAMILY OR
PARTYING WITH YOUR FRIENDS OR CELEBRATE WITH THE ONES WHO WILL
ALSO BE A PART OF YOUR JOY?
I want to pen down my personal experience how I m going to spend this Diwali by bringing a
social change in our society and for the needy ones.
It is a slightly breezy winters time and everyone is celebrating the festival of Diwali which is
the festival of light.
As, we know Diwali is celebrated because there was a new ray of hope, joy, and happiness
when Lord Rama returned to his home. So this time I thought to bring a new ray of hope and
happiness and joy to that part of the society which is struggling in every aspect and is trying
to earn a basic living. I would not pen them any name but I would surely say they need us
because they do not have anything with them.
I went to take Veggies from my nearby market around 9:00 pm, it was continuously raining
and the wind was blowing at a good speed. I saw one family with a mother and 2 kids . one
kid was around 2 years and the other one was around 7 years. I really can not explain the
condition of that 7-year kid. He was all wet and asking everyone who are getting out of the
vegetable store to give something to them. I noticed that and I felt the pain and his condition
when it’s raining outside and people are there to enjoy the FOOD WITH CHAI but no one
was there to give something to that little boy. I gave him some bananas and cucumber to eat
and asked him if I can do anything on my part. He asked me for MILK and then I took him to
a shop from where he purchased the milk and ran immediately to his mother and gave that
milk to her mother for that 2-year old little kid.
I felt so awful and also that they are not educated but the humanity can be seen in that 7-year old kid whereas the educated ones are just ignoring them. This incident was around 13-14 of the SEPTEMBER and that day I learnt the lesson that I would save my little part of my money and do something to those who will take them as a joy and be happy.
It’s the time when everyone lights up their home with the rangolis, lightings and diyas.
So, I decided to do something on my part so that I can help those people who are not in the
condition to make this festival a joy and happy for them.
What I did was not that a big part but whatever I could I did it.
I went to market to buy some diyas and sweets for our sweet people. And then I went to them I gave them and tried to talk to them that How they celebrate Diwali each year?
They said that during that time usually people give them leftover food and they enjoy that
food with their family sitting together and one thing which they told me that was something
really need to be looked upon. They said that "kabhi kabhi bhar pet khana ho paata h bhaiya’.
I really can not express my emotions how those words made me feel.
But , at my part what I can convey to my friends, family and society that do not throw the
leftover. Give the food to those for whom it matters.
I would just say that somethings are there which can not put any impact on us only by hearing
until and unless we have a personal experience regarding that. So, I would just request to do
something for our society that will bring a positive change and bring some happiness in
someone’s life who struggle for it. And feel the happiness and enormous joy when you do the needful. The amount of joy will surely excite you.
At the end I would just say, that CELEBRATE YOUR JOY, HAPINESS WITH THOSE
WHO EVEN DO NOT EVEN KNOW WHAT IT IS.
Thank you.
