Bhubaneswar- Minister of State for Home G. Kishan Reddy has criticized the

Congress party on the issue of violation of human rights and misuse of sedition

law. Replying to a question in the Lower House by Congress MP Anumula

Revath Reddy on the details of the number of cases registered under the offence

of sedition across the country during the last 10 years the minister declared the

figures prepared by the National Crime Bureau and said that the Modi

government has nothing to hide.

Not satisfied with the answer when Congress MPs Anumula Revath Reddy and

former minister Manish Tiwari pointed out the Disha Ravi case and farmers

issue, G Kishan Reddy attacked the Congress reminding it of the draconian

TADA and MISA Act alleging how innocent people including journalists and

senior political leaders like J P Narayan, former Prime Minister of India Atal

Behari Vajpayi and former Deputy PM L K Advani were targeted.
